What is Xamarin Forms?
Xamarin Forms is a cross platform application development framework by Microsoft that has been around since 2014.
A cross platform framework allows you to develop applications for various devices like Android, iOS and Mac all using a single language (eg C#).
The traditional approach to application development involves multiple development teams, each specialising in a different part of the project (eg Android, iOS). This is needed as each platform is written in a different language (Java for Android, Swift or Objective-C for iOS). The end result is separate development teams that must maintain each project independently, which can become a development nightmare!
Xamarin Forms allows all projects to be combined into a single simple code base written in a single language C# and thus can be much more easily maintained. Development time is cut drastically and changes can be made quickly and easily, saving you time and money.
